At Snowy Pines Puppy University, we provide an experience each day that will prepare your puppy for his or her new home. We strive to create more than just a training program that teaches yes or no and sit and stay. These behaviors can be taught by any trainer. Are these skills important? Absolutely they are, but we are more than just behavior — we are about a lifestyle.
Wagology (the art of tail wagging ) does just this. We create a well-behaved puppy that is comfortable in their new lifestyle and that will seamlessly integrate into your family and in your routine. They are already familiar with family TV time, time at the dinner table, riding in the car, and other household activities that make up our everyday life. Remember this is more than just training… it’s a lifestyle!!
Lifestyle training starts at a very young age. Immediately after birth, each puppy is handled daily and is stimulated by a series of gentle movements. This consistent human interaction builds up stress responses and will equip your puppy for future changes in their environment.
At Snowy Pines, our children are huge helpers and are in charge of loving, caring, and playing with each litter to prepare the puppies to be a part of your family. We are truly a one-of-a-kind training facility that is committed to developing both the emotional and behavioral skills needed for your new puppy to quickly adapt to a new lifestyle. We focus on the soft skills of social interactions such as how to behave with children, how to deal with loud noises, how to behave when new people approach, and how to remain calm sitting in an office or walking in the park.
Life requires more than yes or no and sit and stay. It’s life, and life is ever-changing. Will we teach your puppy the basic commands and house train your puppy? Of course, but here at Snowy Pines Puppy University, we go even farther. We want your new puppy to instantly become a part of your family. This is why our program is one of the best training programs in the US!
Our lifestyle training gets every puppy ready for the basics with their new family. This covers a good baseline training for your new puppy. They will still need reinforcement from you, but it is a great start — Tails will be wagging!!
If you want a more advanced training and lifestyle program, then our Honors Program is for you. This will prepare your puppy for all lifestyle situations and behavioral training. With a completion of our Honors Program, your puppy is ready to take on almost any situation with intense tail wagging smiles the entire time!!
Puppy manners are essential, and Wagology 101 is a great start to the Snowy Pines way of life. This class begins when the puppy reaches 7 weeks of age and encompasses almost 100 hours of training and lifestyle socialization.
Successful graduates of this program will know command words in both verbal and physical cues. More importantly they will be accustomed to kitchen time, family time, and dinner time. Wagology 101 develops a baseline to get your puppy where the average family can continue the training process once the puppy is home in their new environment. Some families have the time needed to further the process to develop these needed skills. If this is you, this level of Puppy U is the perfect option for you.
Advanced Wagology is starting to finish. We do everything, from full house training, behavior aspects, and advanced emotional support.
In this advanced course encompassing nearly 200 hours of training your Snowy Pine’s puppy will not only master the basics in Wagology 101, but they will receive an additional 4 weeks of concentrated interactions with life happening moments. Each puppy has a moment where the training just clicks, and all are different. Once we have that moment, we see tremendous changes not only in their training but their personality as well. On average we see this at the 10-12-week-old mark. The additional 3 to 4 weeks of training in Puppy U is vital for puppies to retain all the commands and life skills they have learned and need.
This training includes:
This really gets your puppy emotionally used to different animals and events. It makes them ready for the curve balls of life. Who knows when your next-door neighbor might come home with a new pet Zebra?
